One of the most wonderful ways to mark your special day is through wedding pictures. They even serve as wonderful additions to the records of the family, as something that friends and families can take a look at whenever there is an important gathering. Henceforth, it is essential that you are certain with the kind of photos you prefer and ensure that you will have all the ideal moments of the event to be captured.

If you are to get the help of a wedding photographer, then they can surely advise you on how to go about the key shots and the medium range of how to further beautify your photos. Wedding albums can be styled as a diary which records everything that transpired from the very first day, when everyone is still busy preparing and getting ready down to the precise moment of leaving off for your honeymoon. Some even make it in scrapbook style where they include with the wedding pictures a portion of the dress, or the souvenirs during the bridal shower or the stag parties.

What are these key shots that the photographer is referring to? First are the getting ready shots. This includes the wedding gown, bouquet, the girls having their hair and makeup done, finishing touches, mother and bride, and a long shot of the bride about to leave the house and getting ready to get on the car. Second are the ceremony shots. This includes the groom in wait for the bride, the arrival of the bride, everyone seated, the walk along the aisle, the wedding party, the kiss, the signing, and the departure from the church of the wedding couple as they leave for the banquet hall. Next are the after the ceremony shots. This is where the group shots take place. To show everyone at the best. This also includes the bride and groom going around the small groups of guests and tiny quick shots of various family units and overall the families of both the bride and the groom together. Then there are the reception shots. Some photographers hired only stay for until the cake is cut, not unless you asked them to stay longer. As an option, you can have everybody have disposable cameras and take pictures themselves.

In terms of different photography techniques and styles, one can choose from finishes of sepia, black and white, or colored. Some create a good combination of digital and the traditional camera but of course the benefits of the digital cam is much better. Since if you go digital, you can easily review and still get to edit the photos taken. You can even burn these pictures straight from your personal computer and give copies to numerous friends and relative at a minimum cost.

If you are more creative and you want to produce more artistic images, then you can use the wide-angle fish-eye lens to give the photos a surreal touch. Discuss with your photographer your personal preferences and make everything look stunning on that very day.
