Skill Sets And Evaluation Determine Where You Are Fitting In Business.
May 14th, 2010 by adminEvaluation and certain skill sets will determine if you will fit into your business, to make it a viable fit in the marketplace.
In order to stay currant with your personal technology, you need three different types of skills.
First are your basic core skills, including ability to read, write, speak, calculate and process information
The second of skills is your functional skills. These are specialized skills you have learned to date. In this day of fast advancing technology relying on mastery on one functional skill is business suicide. You need multiple functional skill sets to keep up with constant changes.
The third set of skills is adaptability. Your competitive edge is how fast and how well you learn something new. You have to keep up with your customer needs and evaluate if your business continues to solve the problem.
Its not just about finding and filling a need. Imagine a need and creating it will put you ahead of the competition who is solely finding and filling a need.
Your greatest potential for growth and business success is defined by your technology gap.
You need to evaluate if your passionate about the business you are in. If you don't love your business, you will do a disservice to your customers, team builders, business partners, your family and yourself. Don't wait until your business is suffering and you are at the end of your rope. Let your entrepreneurial spirit pull you forward. Find and Fix problems that will make you a fortune, and make a lot of other people happier in the process.
Evaluate Yourself For Business:
Are you passionate and excited about your business?
Do you feel torn between family time and business time? (It's a good sign.)
Do you assertively seek information and explore areas of your business where you lack knowledge?
Do you often talk about ways to make your business, product or service better?
Is your business (or you) known for your expertise?
Would you buy your own product or service?
Is your business current with technology?
I am in the business of people helping people. I am here to offer solutions and ideas that have worked for myself and countless others to bring success into our lives. Do not hesitate to fill in your name in the box and and we can get together and share ideas.
Meanwhile here is a great read by a mentor of mine Paul Zane Pilzer " God Wants You To Be Rich" explains how our economic system is based on our biblical heritage, and you can prosper materially and spiritually.
Wonderful book and he's a terrific speaker, humorous and serious at the same time. This book does NOT promote the "love" of money but it explains why you shouldn't feel guilty because you are prosperous. The Bible promotes prosperity as well as helping others. Plus, being rich doesn't just mean having a lot of money. this book talks about being rich in all aspects of life. It's the "love" of money that is evil just like the "love" of food is what makes us fat. Does that mean that food is bad? Get this book and read it.you'll gain new understanding of wealth.
